Speaker:

Takahisa Furukawa, MD, PhD
Dr. Takahisa Furukawa, Distinguished Professor at Osaka University, will present his research on retinal cilia. His work integrates molecular genetics, developmental biology, and neuroscience to uncover how retinal cells develop, form synaptic connections, and maintain function. He has made major contributions to understanding photoreceptor differentiation, synapse formation, ciliary biology, and molecular signaling in the retina.
