Congratulations to Skye Tracey, PhD, who on June 4 successfully defended her PhD thesis, “The Blood Olfactory Barrier and Consequences of Neurotropic Viral Infection in the Olfactory System.” She conducted her research in the lab of Ashley Moseman, PhD, assistant professor of integrative immunobiology and cell biology.
Tracey said she valued the lessons learned during her time in the program. “I learned how to creatively design and execute experiments, how to take calculated risks, and use observations to create interesting hypotheses,” she said. After graduation, Tracey plans to return to medical school to complete her final year, then apply to internal medicine residency programs. Her goal is to become a physician-scientist specializing in rheumatology.
